For generations, radio has been a source of information and entertainment. Over the years modern developments have been partnered to match modern trends and needs. With the arrival of Internet and PC appliances, the majority companies have in company d functional change s. This holds true even in the case of radio stations that have reinvented their approach towards expansive casting. Country music radio stations no longer serve as a easy medium. To compete with other radio channels, TV and Internet sources, free Internet radio has gained popularity. Country music offers a expansive  variety and it becomes increasingly difficult to classify the divergent types of classical music. AM and FM country music radio stations previously played a few tracks in a row. Many of these collections had  profoundly few classics and audiences had to make do with repeated tracks. This fuelled the need for country music Internet radio.

AM and FM radio no longer dominate as mediums to deliver music. Expansion and development of the satellite and free Web “radio” has been fast due to low start-up and operating costs. Free Web radio channels are able to store a large collection of classic country music. For this reason, fans with diverse country music preferences are able to assess their option s. Numerous free country music Web radio sources are dedicated to specific type ofs of country music.

Even though Web radio evolved over a decade ago, the mechanism is yet to develop to its full potential. Country Music Names

An interesting trend is currently occurring in country music radio: country singer names, first and last (sometimes middle), are being simplified. Garth Brooks is Garth. Reba McEntire is Reba. Willie Nelson is just Willie. After a song, radio DJ’s are reducing the names down to one.

It is possible it’s a time-saving device; it’s easier to say “That was Willie with ‘Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain‘.” Some may argue that the simplified name is because of country music’s “simple” fans. While some country music fans may embrace this label, others may find it offensive.

But can be dwindling names is a sign of respect for the artist. The musicians with only one name have gained a certain amount of regard in th music industry. Toby Keith has become Toby. Occasionally Brooks and Dunn is Kix and Ronnie ( it is not shorter but more respectful). Then of course the ample names: Reba, Garth, Alan (or AJ), Willie, and so on. It gets trickier with names like George (George Strait or George Jones?) and Hank (junior or senior?). But even Hank is usually “Hank Junior” or “Hank Senior.” On the contrary, country singer names of newer musicians are all the majority always referred to in full.

However another argument is the sense of comfort country music induces in its audiences. Perhaps deejays try to secure that by referring to the multi-million-dollar stars by their 1st names. They talk about Reba prefer she’s your sister and not a star you’ll never meet (this is reinforced by the reruns of her television show where she’s the mother next door). Radio has given these country singer names and some, prefer Reba, have embraced them, showing only the 1st name on posters, compact disc s, and even television shows.

And you remember uncle Garth instead of the perfect -selling musician of all time with enough resources to support his gran children’s grand children. This is the same guy who vary d the way artists negotiated contracts and got paid; this country singer names his price on anything. He became influential in the industry and bought a big house and smashed thousand-dollar guitars on stage. But the radio makes you think you may call him up and talk about fishing two Sundays ago when you were eating fried chicken on the bank and did not get a bite. And do not forget his superstar wife, Trisha.

All in all, country performer names shortened seems to mean something. It’s up to the individual to determine meaning, but disk jockeys had to have shortened them for a reason. Now, you have to wonder when the new country music singers’ names will dwindle down to one. Or can be you miss the Brooks, the McEntires, the Nelsons, the Williams. can be you want the final names back. And what about the singers with three names: Earl Thomas Connely, John Michael Montgomery. Do they lose radio time because they have long names?

Country music is an amalgam of popular musical forms that has its roots in traditional folk music from the South. Country music is a catc club for the Nashville sound, bluegrass, western ballads, swing, Cajun, honky tonk, Appalachian, rockabilly and jug band music.

Although there are many styles of country music, it’s unique in the way its style is executed.  Many tunes are recorded to fit the style of country music and those who sing it. Famous country music singers include Bob Wills, Willie Nelson and George Strait. Country music audiences are mesmerized by the rhythms and the structures of the chords. In fact there are a lot of tunes that are adapted to suit the country music style like the Milk Cow Blues tune – an early blues tune composed by Kokomo Arnold. Famous singers like Bob Wills, Willie Nelson, and George Strait have all sung their personal versions of the Milk Cow Blues Tune.

It was in 1924, when Vernon Dalhart recorded “The Wreck of Old 97,” that Country music really took off. At that time other singers like Riley Pucket, Fiddling John Carson and Charlie Poole joined the country western scene, further popularizing the music. The popularity of country music continues to grow.

Country music has its share of male and female singers who, through the years, have contributed greatly to the long-standing popularity of this music. They include well-known performers prefer, Johnny Cash, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Patty Loveless, Barbara Mandrell, Lonestar, Shania Twain, Dwight Yoakam and a lot of others.

Country Music: Music for Every Generation

Although it could seem that country music has been around forever, it has actually only been around since the early 20th century. Although some could call it “cowboy music” the roots of country music could actually be found in the blues, gospel, Celtic and folk music. It began in the early 20th century in the Appalachians of the southeastern America. Country music is the “working class” music of the south. It generally tells a story or has a moral. In today’s fast-paced, high-tech world, it is amazing that “old fashioned” country music still has a place in the hearts of so a lot of -even if you listen to it on your ipod or MP3 player.

The 1st country music recording that really got noticed was of Jimmie Rodgers and the Carter family back in 1927. This kind of music had been around for a few years before that, but this was the “breakthrough album” for the type of. Jimmie Rodgers played what was called “country folk” and told stories with his tunes. He sang about everything from alcohol to women and even included humor in many of his tunes. The Carter family was multi- skill ed and not only sang beautifully, but also played skillfully on guitars and other stringed instruments in true Appalachian tradition.

The next “pioneer” of the country music business was Hank Williams Sr. He took cues from his predecessor, Jimmie Rodgers and sang tunes about life, love, and loss. He died young, just as Mr. Rodgers did but not before passing on his musical genius to his children and eventually his grandchild.

The country scene change d in the 1960’s just prefer everything else in the U.S.. Two branches broke apart and one followed the traditional and the other put more emphasis on a smooth solo vocal and less emphasis on solo instruments- prefer the rock and roll of the day. This division continues to some degree today.

Another ample division occurred in the 1990’s when some of the young performers blended the country sound with some rock and other sounds. This led to more disharmony and some protests by the “old” school country performers.

The Various Countries – A Rant About Country Music

It is no secret that over the past couple decades country music has struggled with it’s identity far more than any other genre in the industry. At this point nobody can really claim to be a country music fan without being questioned what type of country fan? The answers being seemingly unlimited, I’ve broken them down into a few main categories (but really, there can be so a lot of more).
Pop Country
This category can really be referred to as “Nashville Country.” It hosts might about 90  percent of the country music out there. I again and again find people not wanting to admit in conversation that they’re fans of this category. They like to talk about how they love Willie Nelson and mouth the words to Merle Haggard songs even though it’s obvious their faking it. Then they get alone in their cars and unwind by driving down the highway, blasting Shania Twain on the radio, and singing along at the top of their lungs. Let me just say, there’s hardly anything wrong with that, like what you like. Nashville record labels select decidedly talent ed, again and again attractive singers that perform with some amazing bands. They furthermore have some of the top songwriters and composers in the industry working for them.
One criticism I would have against this category…In recent years, there has been a rebellion of sorts against Nashville music from musicians in both the Rebel and Texas sub categories (see below) with songs booing Nashville and praising the old timers. At times this gains them popularity and they get so popular that they land a ample contract with a Nashville record company and for some reason everybody is perfectly comfortable with this phenomenon. This is what I like to refer to as “Pat Green Syndrome”.
Rebel/ Rock and Roll Country
Very liberal people are who you tend to find in this category. These artists just do whatever they feel like doing, and consequently there are not a lot of of them, or at least not a lot of of them that stay popular following their initial shock worth wears off. They are again and again independent and like letting it all hang out. A wonderful example currently in the limelight is Gretchen Wilson. Others that haven’t quite reached her popularity level, but have been around for a while include Ray Wylie Hubbard and Todd Snider.
At times the guys in this category derive quite a bit of their rebelness from incorporating rock into their music. Good examples of this are Robert Earl Keen and James McMurty (I highly recommend both of them).
Texas Country
This category has developed into somewhat of a music cult, and it stretches all over the United Sates. (Note, this last month there has been a huge three day Texas music festival in Colorado). It is popularity started off with the likes of Willie Nelson, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Gary P. Nunn. What really sent it off in recent years has been the popularity of Robert Earl Keen, Cory Morrow, Pat Green, and Jack Ingram. It plays extremely well in frat houses across the Lone Star State. While the guys mentioned earlier have taken off in a varying direction, new musicians like Max Stalling, Mark David Manders, and Ed Burleson have started to take their place. If you ever watch this development, it’s simple to see that the Texas music business is increasing so fast that it will might soon be just as ample as Nashville’s.
Old Country
If you can sing the words to three or more Willie Nelson, George Jones, and Johnny Cash songs please come in. If you can sing along to Patsy Cline, Charlie Rich, and Hank Williams please take a seat. If you can croon all night with Bob Wills please let me get you a beer, I’m glad  all of us  met. Welcome to the old country category, sadly a lot of people find it boring here.
Real Old Country
Virtually all people in this category know how to yodel. They’ve might witnessed someone performance the bones, Assuming that the y do not already know how to performance them themselves. The people in this category refer to each other as “folks” and recognize that country’s roots derived from folk music. This category requires being able to find pleasure in sitting on a front porch sipping ice tea in the middle of the summer while some old man plays “Streets of Laredo” on an old Gibson. Indulging in campfire banjo playing helps as well.
If you are like me, you might have your preferred category and then like some things out of each one. There’s not really any one way to define country music, and with it being an ever-changing industry there might never will be. One thing that does not change though, no matter which category, you can still dust of your boots and take just about any country song to the dance club with you.

I’ve never been a ample fan of country music but there is a song that Garth Brooks sings called ‘The River’ that has some decidedly inspiring lyrics. Here is a portion of what the song states :
You know a dream is like a river, ever changing as it flows.
And a dreamer’s just a vessel that must follow where it goes.
Trying to learn from what’s behind you and never knowing what’s in store
makes each day a constant battle just to stay amidst the shores.
And I will sail my vessel ’til the river runs dry.
like a bird upon the wind, these waters are my sky.
I’ll never reach my destination if I never try,
So I will sail my vessel ’til the river runs dry.
Too a lot of times  all of us  stand aside and let the water slip away.
To what  all of us  put off ’til tomorrow has now become today.
So do not you sit upon the shore and say you are satisfied.
Choose to opening  the rapids and dare to dance the tides.
That last verse is where the majority people miss it. Do you’ve dreams that you haven’t dared to fulfill? You only have one life to live so make it the optimum life that you can. Don’t let your dreams die or fade away because you were afraid to take a opening .
What’s it on the inside of you that you want to do but are afraid to do it because it’s outside of your comfort zone? Begin to pursue whatever that’s and do not prohibit until you are doing what you know you were created to do. Live your dreams, live your passions, and live a life that’s full and complete.
